Kathy was born in Havre, Montana, but grew up in Chester, Montana. She was raised a Presbyterian. Kathy got her love of music from her mother, who served as church pianist, and from her father, who served as choir director. Kathy and her husband Tim moved to Minnesota from Oklahoma where they had lived for five years and have been living in Minnesota since 1983. She loves to read, make beeswax candles and wine and especially spending time with her family. Her favorite joys at Resurrection are being in the church choir and being musically involved with the children.
Kathy has been a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church since 1989 and began her employment as church secretary in 1997. She and her husband, Tim, live just outside of St. Joseph on a 10-acre hobby farm. Tim keeps busy working with a four acre vineyard and the chickens. They have four grown children and as of May 2011, six grandchildren!
