Sunday Bible Study Program
Adult education is offered Sundays between services from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. September through May in the Church Library. (No adult education on Wednesday nights.) Come join us. All are welcome!
The Sunday Morning Adult Education class is currently studying the Gospel of Mark. Pastor Dwaine leads this class in a study to better understand Mark's unique way of telling the story of Jesus.
Last Fall, we used the book, Simply Christian: Why Christianity Makes Sense by N. T. Wright, a well-known Christian author and teacher. The course covered 1. God 2. Israel 3. Jesus 4. The Holy Spirit 5. Worship & Prayer 6. Scripture 7. Church & New Creation
Last spring, we studied the book of Revelation. We then studied the life of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, one of the first voices to speak out against Adolf Hitler and his persecution of the Jews. These sessions were then followed by Good God Questions, such as "Why do bad things happen to good people?"
Last yearl, we studied the parables of Jesus and the relationship we as Christians have with God's creation. We also studied the book of Galatians in the New Testament and the lives of key people in the Old Testament.
